DTI supports E-commerce Show Philippines 2015
Cards and Payments Philippines and E-commerce Show Philippines 2015 Exhibition and Conference, tagged as the premier hub in nailing down the potentials and trends on e-commerce ecosystem, notches another trade show to promote e-commerce industry in the country.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) showed its support on the said event held last September 2-3, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City which laid the Philippine businesses and e-commerce community under one remarkable event introducing new products and applications alongside with the evaluation and implementation of technology on the said field.
DTI’s Supervising Undersecretary for E-commerce Prudencio M. Reyes Jr. lauded the event for it will unveil new and better ways to support the emergence of a dynamic borderless economy in the region.
He also stressed that the occasion is an opportunity to promote the E-commerce Roadmap and to bring out ways on how the community can be involve in the process.
“This exhibition and conference draws together all major facets of e-commerce industry under one roof unfolding e-commerce and e-payments’ key roles in the pursuit of the country’s inclusive growth and development”, he added.
Meanwhile, Ms.Maria Crispina Reodica, Chief Trade and Industry Specialist –Sector Planning Bureau/E-commerce emphasized on her opening address the foreseen outpouring responses and support of various sectors in transforming the industry into a globally competitive and responsive ways to facilitate the ease of doing business.
“Through this opportunity, may we be able to intensify our partnership in pushing the e-commerce and cashless payment in the country,” she stressed.
DTI alongside with Ms. Janette Toral, the site owner of DigitalFilipino.com and an e-commerce advocate, presented the 2020 E-commerce Roadmap during the on-floor seminar dwelling on the collaboration of the government with the private sector to provide tangible support to a wider ecosystem—from information security and data privacy to consumer protection and logistics.
The two-day trade show was participated by over 40 exhibitors and sponsors with trade attendees coming from various sectors showcasing the latest trends on e-commerce technology and solutions; E-Commerce platforms and end-to-end systems; payment providers; delivery and supply chain systems; and digital marketing among others.
The exhibition and conference was organized by Terrapinn, a world leader in business events focusing mainly on innovation, technology and trade exhibitions for global business connectivity. (END)
