DTI SSF on infants’ accessories production to boost GDH sector in Nueva Ecija


Nueva Ecija – The Department of Trade and Industry – Nueva Ecija launched a shared service facility (SSF) on infants’ accessories production in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija on February 4, 2015.
The equipment, valued at Php 301,500 consisted of 15 high-speed sewing machines with two more high-speed overlock machines expected at a later date. The Dynamix Business Resource Center in Sto. Rosario, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija received the equipment as SSF co-operator. Dynamix currently is sub-contractor with the Manila-based Stardust Infant Wear, Inc. a registered exporter.
The facility is projected to increase the volume of production of portable baby beds, comforters, mosquito nets and head pillows by 100 percent; provide new jobs to an additional 20 persons; and double the total gross monthly income of P 7,000,000 to P 1.4 million.
The infant accessories facility is seen to boost the supply chain of the gifts, décor and handicraft (GDH) sector in the province with increased productivity and indirectly support the tourist trade by offering quality infant wear.  (END)
